University of Michigan - Stamps Gallery
In 2022 CultureVerse worked with the University of Michigan Stamps Gallery to create a virtual replica of their space and their exhibit "Envision." This exciting collaboration included:
- A Matterport 3D room scan of the Stamps gallery in Ann Arbor, MI used to create a digital twin of the space in the Unity game engine.
- 3D scans of artworks from the "Envision" exhibit created using the Artec Leo handheld 3D scanner
- An explorable, shareable, virtual "Stamps Gallery" created using the Saganworks 3D immersive platform
- Audio, video, and images, and 3D objects from the "Envision" show included in the virtual gallery, plus newly recorded artist statements
The 3D room scan
CultureVerse used the Matterport 3D room scanner to create a model of the interior of Stamps Gallery. This model would later be used to create the replica of the space in the Unity 3D game engine. See the 3D room scan below:
